Narrative
When Francesca Cabrini, an Italian immigrant, first arrives in New York City in 1889, she is met with poverty, crime, and illness.
Cabrini embarks on a risky quest to persuade the antagonistic mayor to provide housing and medical attention for the most disadvantaged members of society.
Despite her terrible health and broken English, Cabrini uses her business acumen to create an empire of optimism that has never been seen before.
