Gabon is a country in Central Africa, and veteran Nollywood actor Zack Orji has revealed that he was born there.
In a recent podcast interview, the actor—who is well-known for his explosive roles in the Nigerian film industry—shared this information.
Zubby Michael, whose real name is Zack Orji, explained that he was born in Gabon since his father had to travel frequently for work.
He revealed his ancestry by stating that his father gave him the middle name Amaefuna, which means “Let my heritage not be lost.”
Zubby Michael discussed on the podcast how his recent trip back to Gabon was a turning point in his efforts to be in touch with his heritage.
He described how, similar to his father’s experiences, his line of work has allowed him to travel far.
It is said that this situation brought him back to his birth country, where he not only researched his background but also directed a movie.
