The claim that Nathaniel Bassey is the father of Mercy Chinwo Blessed’s kid has prompted the gospel singer to ask the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to look into the matter.
On March 29, 2024, Chinwo and her spouse shared pictures of their son on Instagram and other social media sites. Four people on social media claimed that Bassey was Chinwo’s son’s father since the child looked like him.
The images went viral, with people criticizing Bassey on social media.
Through four of his attorneys, the gospel artist filed a petition with the IGP. Anthony Abia, Gbenga Agunloye, Uche Matthew, and Peter Abraham are these people.
In their petition to the IGP, Chinwo, a well-known gospel music pastor, and her husband claimed that on Friday, March 29, 2024, they shared images of themselves and their kid on several social media sites.
However, according to the petition, their client was extremely disturbed, disheartened, and saddened to discover that the suspects, DJ Spoiltkid, Kingsley Ibeh, Terrence Ekot, and Okoronkwo Ejike, were criminal miscreants who intended to harm their client’s reputation.
These individuals had made a number of defamatory posts on social media, referring to their client as “the father of minister Mercy Chinwo Blessed’s son,” a woman who is married to another man.
The attorneys said that Ejike’s post had since gone viral on the site and that Ibeh had responded to it by posting a photo of their client with the message, “The real father of the baby,” on Ejike’s post.
