Tyla, a Grammy-winning singer from South Africa, has stated that she prefers strong men to very witty males.
During a recent interview with Capital Xtra in London, the singer of “Water” stated that a dominant male is her preferred type of man.
“My biggest turn on is a dominant man,” Tyla remarked. And guys that are always funny really turn me off.
I enjoy humorous males, but I get annoyed when they can’t decide whether to be serious.
Born on January 30, 2002, Tyla Laura Seethal is a singer and songwriter from South Africa who goes by her mononym Tyla.
Raised in Johannesburg, she got a record deal with Epic Records in 2021 following the popularity of her 2019 debut single, “Getting Late,” which featured Kooldrink.
With the publication of her 2023 single “Water,” which peaked at number 10 in sixteen countries, including the US and the UK, Tyla became well-known throughout the world.
“Water” won the first-ever Grammy Award for Best African Music Performance in 2024 and became the first solo single by a South African artist to chart in the US Billboard Hot 100 in 55 years.
The single came out ahead of her self-titled debut album (2024), which debuted in the top 25 in six countries, including the US, and was met with broad critical praise as well as moderate economic success.
