The controversial street musician Habeeb Okikiola, also known as Portable, has been arrested by police from the Lagos State Police Command.
The ‘Zazzu’ singer was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly refusing to pay a debt created when he purchased a G-Wagon from Unique Motors, a car dealership in the state.
Portable reportedly spent only N13 million after purchasing the vehicle, which was worth N27 million.
He was alleged to have refused to pay the N14 million balance.
According to reports, the vehicle dealer reported the incident to authorities, which resulted in the singer’s arrest.
Benjamin Hundeyin, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, also confirmed the arrest to journalists.
He said: “The report is true. He was arrested today.”
