Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, is a well-known Nigerian crossdresser who was purportedly detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Lagos State.
As per the most recent reports, on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, Bobrisky was captured at Pinnock Estate in Lagos.
According to reports, the arrest has to do with the misuse of naira currency at a movie premiere.
Filmmaker Seun Oloketuyi announced the news on social media, saying that Bobrisky had been taken into custody by the EFCC overnight after being apprehended on Wednesday afternoon.
Oloketuyi’s post read;
“According to reports, Bobrisky was arrested by @officialefcc Wednesday afternoon and he spent the night in their Cell.”
It’s still unknown exactly what Bobrisky is accused of doing with the naira during the movie premiere.
On social media, the arrest has nevertheless provoked a lot of debate and conjecture.
Notably, the EFCC has not yet released a formal statement on Bobrisky’s apprehension.
