Court grants N10 million bail to Cubana Chief Priest following Naira Abuse

Businessman and socialite Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, has been granted N10 million bail by Justice Kehinde Ogundare of the Federal High Court in Lagos State, along with two sureties.

The well-known bartender entered a not guilty plea to charges of manipulating and abusing naira during his trial.

In violation of the Central Bank Act of 2007, Cubana Chief Priest was accused of spraying and tampering with naira during a social occasion, leading to three counts of naira misuse before Justice Kehinde Ogundare.

He was charged with naira spraying at the Eko Hotel on February 13, 2024.

It was also said that the accusations were committed by the Cubana Chief Priest while dancing at a social event.

He was charged with altering N500 notes that were distributed by CBN by spray-coating them for two hours.
