Following VeryDarkMan’s arrest, supporters protest and demand his freedom in the streets.

Martin Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan (VDM) arrest, is a self-described activist and social media influencer who has been causing a sensation on social media.

The activist’s detention has caused controversy among celebrities as well as online users. Prominent individuals such as Seun Kuti have advocated for his release, but others have maintained that he should stay in custody.

Social internet users shared a video of some young Nigerians protesting in the streets over VDM’s apprehension.

A few young people were shown holding signs and calling for the release of VDM in the viral video.

This follows claims made by VDM’s attorney that Samklef, Tonto Dikeh, and Iyabo Ojo had a hand in the former’s apprehension. He also discussed the strict bail requirements that were put in place to free the TikToker.
