Nigerian singer and actress Tiwa Savage has opened up about how she handled the fallout from her pornographic video release and the decisive steps she took.
During an interview in New York with Power 105.1 host Angie Martins, Tiwa Savage described the upsetting circumstances she encountered in October 2021 when she was the subject of blackmail due to her personal video.
The well-known Afrobeats musician revealed that she was quite concerned about the leaked tape, which included private moments with a previous boyfriend.
Tiwa Savage claimed that her main concern was the possible effect it would have on her kid Jamil.
For the first time in three years, Tiwa Savage addressed the matter in public and conveyed her relief at being able to act quickly to lessen the situation.
She disclosed that in order to take down the video from people’s mobile devices and the internet, she had hired an IT expert’s assistance.
“My biggest fear about my sex tape leaking was that my son might one day see it,” Tiwa Savage said during the interview. “But I got in touch with an IT expert who hacked the video from the internet and everyone’s mobile device. Right now, you can’t find it anywhere. Even if you had it stored on your phone,” she added.
