Naira Marley corrects detractors, saying, “Don’t follow what you don’t know for sure.”

Nigerian rapper Azeez Fashola, also known by his stage name Naira Marley, has cautioned his fellow citizens not to accept everything they read or hear on social media.

The rapper, who is currently fasting, used quotes from the Quran to highlight his points on Twitter.

The singer, Naira Marley, who is well-known for songs like “Tesumole,” addressed the issue amid criticism and rumors that followed him and his close friend Sam Larry for a long time.

There has been a significant response to allegations that he was involved in the death of his most recent signee, Mohbad.

Rumors have it that media outlets, event venues, and performance organizers are no longer actively scheduling him for events or playing his music.

These actions have been attributed to the alleged scandals surrounding Naira Marley and his associates.

In response to these accusations, Naira Marley posted passages from the Quran, cautioning his fellow Nigerians to verify information before accepting it.

He penned;

“O believers, if an evildoer brings you any news, verify ‘it’ so you do not harm people unknowingly, becoming regretful for what you have done. Quran 49:6 (Al-hujurat).

“Do not follow what you have no ‘sure’ knowledge of. Indeed, all will be called to account for ‘their’ hearing, sight, and intellect. Quran 17:36.

“And do not walk on the earth arrogantly. Surely you can neither crack the earth nor stretch to the height of the mountains. Quran 17:37”.
