Emerging Nigerian musician 1Da Banton has revealed some interesting news regarding his collaboration with afrobeats singer Davido.
The musician reveals the unexpected inspiration that prompted him to seek a career in music.
During his participation on the Afrobeats Podcast, 1Da Banton discussed his contribution to Davido’s music.
He revealed that he wrote the lyrics to ‘No Competition’.
In addition, 1Da Banton said that he helped produce another Davido song, ‘Na Money,’ which features Grammy-winning Beninese singer Angelique Kidjo and ‘The Cavemen.’
“I produced Davido’s ‘Na Money’ with Cavemen and wrote ‘No Competition’ featuring Asake,” he said.
1Da Banton also revealed the individual who inspired his desire to pursue a career in music.
He praised Nasboi, a Nigerian skit creator and musician, with influencing him while he was romantically involved with his elder sister.
“My older sister’s ex-boyfriend, Nasboi inspired me to make music,” he added.
