Junior Pope and four other Nollywood actors lost their lives when their boat capsized in the River Niger in Anambra State while returning from a movie shoot location.
Nollywood actors and actresses, along with Jennifer Awele Okpuno, the late actor’s wife, gathered to mourn his tragic death at a candlelight vigil held in his honor.
Although the relatives of many of the victims had already paid their respects and laid them to rest, Junior Pope was the focus of a candlelight vigil.
Celebrities, including actresses and performers, as well as his spouse, came to pay their respects.
Social media users saw footage of the candlelight procession, and worried admirers of the deceased star flocked the comment section with expressions of sympathy.
