Jim Iyke, a Nollywood actor, recently expressed his deep sorrow over the death of Pope Obumneme Odonwodo, also referred to as Junior Pope, a colleague.
While returning from a film location, Junior Pope and three other people perished in their boat, which sank on the Anam River in Anambra State.
In response, Jim Iyke said that this specific tragedy has left him with a new type of anguish.
He said that although he doesn’t doubt God’s plan, his heart is still heavy with many unanswerable questions.
Jim Iyke sent a heartfelt remark on his Instagram page:
“Dear God, I am not a stranger to devastating loss. I will not dare question your will, but my heart is weighed down by so many unanswered questions. Words fail me.
To the giver and taker of life, I surrender. Yet, this loss feels different—like shattered pieces of a puzzle I can’t comprehend.
Rest with God, JP. Rest, my dear brother.”
