Actor Yul Edochie of Nigeria responded to Davido’s announcement that he would retire following the release of his upcoming album.
In a recent Instagram post, Yul questioned the idea of retirement, arguing that haters and detractors shouldn’t be allowed to diminish Davido’s divinely granted grandeur.
He highlighted Davido’s reputation for making headlines and called him an asset to Nigeria and Africa.
Edochie, who was full of praise and support, told Davido to keep making hits, ignoring the naysayers and highlighting his importance as a major player in the music business.
The actor urged Davido to hit the losers whenever they lift their heads, declaring that they will always be hated.
He penned:
“Retire for who?
Retire cos of trolls?
When God made you great?
Trolls will always troll great people.
Great people, steady making headlines.
You’re a blessing to Nigeria, to Africa.
Keep giving us hits.
Losers will never stop hating.
