Zack Orji refutes death rumors

Actor Zack Orji, a native of Nigeria, has called reports of his passing “a fabrication from the bottom of hell.”

In a recent interview with Channels Television, the actor—who just traveled to the UK for medical care following two brain surgeries—said that social media has made people irresponsible, even to the point of spreading misleading information.

Zack Orji stated that people who hadn’t spoken to him in years called him multiple times out of concern about him.

Zack Orji stated in the interview that was posted on Instagram on Thursday:

I don’t know who originated that lie, I call it a lie from the pit of hell that…well not myself, they had passed away.

“I saw it and I started receiving all kinds of calls, even calls from people I hadn’t heard from for years, most of them were just concerned, they wanted to find out if it was true and all of that. I can only say that sometimes social media has made people to be so reckless and callous to the point of spreading fake news just to grow their page.”

Zack Orji also acknowledged the assistance received by the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN).

Zack, 64, fell on December 29, 2023, and was taken to the National Hospital’s acute care unit in Abuja. After receiving surgery, he was sent to a private hospital.
